Joining is Easy!

There are 5 steps to be a member!

Being a member allows you to borrow gear from the gear closet and go on official trips!

Steps to be a member:

  1. Pay Dues (or fill out dues waiver)

  2. Join Fusion Club

  3. Join the mailing list

  4. Join the Slack

  5. Fill out gear closet waiver (only required if you are going to use club gear)

Optional Step - Become a certified driver (increases your chances of getting on a trip!)(you don’t need a car for this)

Details for each step are listed below

1. Pay dues (or fill out dues waiver)

Dues are $25 per semester or $30 per year and must be paid before you can go on trips

Pay cash or check made out to “Purdue Outing Club.” Message Colin Newton, Treasurer, on Slack to pay cash or check.

Payment can also be online via TOOCool! This will work best on a laptop.

If you receive the Pell Grant, you are eligible for dues to be waved. Fill out the form linked here. Please mark out all personal information that should not be shared, other than your name and proof of the grant. Only POC Treasurers will have access to this information.

2. Join Fusion Club

This is a new system we are using for Club Waivers. So even if you were already a member in Fall of 2023 and signed a club waiver, that is now void. Even if you are on boiler link, you won’t be able to join trips without being on Fusion Club.

5. Gear Closet Waiver

Before you can check out any gear please fill out this waiver. This is new for the 23-24 School Year. You will not be allowed to check out gear until you have paid dues and have filled out this waiver.

Optional - Driver Certification

Not required to be in the club, but required if you plan on driving your own vehicle, or someone else’s vehicle on long trips. Each car needs 2 driver certified people. If you are certified, it will make you more likely to be added to a trip roster.

How to be a certified driver for the POC (you don’t even need a car for this!)

  • Fill out an MVR check via the RM01-R docusign form

  • You will get an email confirmation once you are an approved driver

  • Download the document in the approval email. Upload this document to Fusion Club. Instructions are under “Join Fusion Club” on this page for how to upload your RMO1 to Fusion Club.
